Trees in Fog

These photographs were taken by Max Darby near Portarlington in June 2013

Fog creates its own atmosphere and setting. There is almost a dark and uncertain stillness about any location enveloped by fog, sometimes eerie and forbidding. Making artworks which attempt to re-create that climate of feelings can be rather interesting as well as challenging. These photos would assist students who wish to draw or paint scenes surrounded by fog. Or, they might encourage students to take their own photographs of fog, especially near water.
