Tree Trunk Forms

These studies were made by Max Darby in Bowral, New South Wales in October 2012.

The tree is a large pine tree that is located in the central town park of Bowral, NSW.  It is the birthplace of Australian cricket legend Don Bradman. The strong shapes, angles and forms of the tree are quite striking.

The photographs have not been manipulated. They would make a great starting point for a series if studies such a drawings, paintings, prints and even sculptures.
