The Beauty of Quartz

These photographs were taken by Max Darby in Castlemaine in 2011.

Quartz is a major gold bearing stone. It is known for its hardness and strong colour.

These examples were photographed at one of the historic Australian gold diggings that date back to the 1860’s.

The photographs show the true colours and have not been manipulated in any way.
