The Beauty of Cut Stone

The beautiful examples below of cut stone from natural materials were photographed by Max Darby in February 2011

The natural beauty of Australian stone can be seen and appreciated in the colours and linear features evident in these carefully cut but untreated tiles. In some places the stone is cut into small 10 cm squares while in others it is cut into 30cm X 25cm rectangles. None of the stones are the same and even similar ones have subtle differences.
