The Beauty of Cut Stone Landscapes.

The following photographs were taken by Max Darby in May, 2011.

Each of the photographs below are taken from natural stone cut for the pathways and open areas of Federation Square in Melbourne, Australia.

They suggest aerial views of landscape arrangements and could be used as the basis of drawings in pastel or pencils, for paintings or prints. Students could work from these photographs, or look for their own.
