River Bank Reflections

The following photographs were taken along the banks of the Murray River near Echuca by Max Darby in January 2011.

The two major observable features of the river – as explored in these images –  that could be used as inspiration for student photographs, drawings, paintings and prints are the nature of the reflections and the interesting and sensitive light qualities. Studio work could be made from the images provided here or a student could take their own photographs of this or a similar topic. The photographs(s) could be used for just one work or for a thematic series of works.

Click on the arrows to the left and right of the main image to progress or return through the works.

If you click on the ‘light symbol’ in the middle of the main image (move the cursor to the centre to find it) that particular image will enlarge to make viewing easier.
