Fabio Betancur: Surrealist Paintings

These paintings were made and photographed by Fabio Betancur from Colombia.


This series of Surrealist paintings were created by young Colombian artist Fabio Betancur. They are all made using acrylic paint on a canvas surface. The topics are Series 1; Life; Series 2; Sex, and Series 3; Geometric Life.


Fabio lives and works in Bogota, Colombia, and has painted from the age of 19. He is now 26 years old and he lived for a long time in Buenos Aries in Argentina where he was an apprentice to some experienced and successful Argentinean painters. One of his major goals is to see the world.

    You’re very welcome. Congratulations and it will be good to see your future work. Artists never stop creating and even when they travel they’re thinking about art, and looking at it. I have a big exhibition of my own work in a gallery next year and I’m tryng to decide what to paint. Maybe I should come to Bogota again to get some ideas. Best wishes Max
